Locations can now attach messaging (WhatsApp, Text/SMS) and social channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, X, Pinterest) to their Google Business Profile pages—giving customers more familiar ways to reach you and creating additional paths for engagement and lead capture.

Link WhatsApp & Text (SMS) with GBP
  • Add WhatsApp and Text contact numbers directly in the GBP connection flow.
  • One-click selection of CRM integrated numbers from a dropdown.
  • If a non-GHL number is entered, we show a warning: automations and sync are not available for numbers not integrated to CRM.

How to Access It?
  • Go to Integrations: Sub-account view → Settings → Integration → Google Business Profile card.
GBP Home
  • Select your GBP page(s): Click Connect/Manage to see all GBP pages associated with the connected Google account.
GBP Page selection
  • Add channels:
  1. WhatsApp & Text: Choose a CRM number from the dropdown, or enter another number (warning shown if non-CRM connected).
  2. Social: Click Connect / Manage channels to add or edit social links.

  • Review & Save: Confirm connected channels. Update or remove anytime from the same screen.
Notes:
  1. Only if CRM connected numbers/social channels are linked to GBP, the messages can be synced and automation can be setup.
  2. If both whatsapp and text message numbers are added, Google gives priority to text message and displays it in search results. (whatsapp is only displayed if text number is not added)
  3. Support document is added in "Know More" CTA on the input modal and there may be some delay in details getting updated as Google checks and approves all the details before linking.
