Auto-Assign contact to the User that called them first

Blows my mind this isn’t currently possible.
User that calls a contact, auto assign the contact to them. When contacts call or message back, the user gets notifications and there is a history of their outreach.

The merged posts in the activity feed are all pointing to the same underlying need: automatic ownership assignment based on actual user engagement with the lead.
In our specific use case, workflows are triggered based on the inbound number the lead calls, but that number rings a group using the “Ring All” setting. Ideally, the contact should automatically be assigned to the specific user who answers the call through LeadConnector.
At the same time, other businesses may operate differently, such as leads coming in through Slack notifications, round robin queues, or shared pipelines where the first rep to actively call or engage the lead should become the assigned owner.
In both scenarios, the missing functionality is the same:
HighLevel should be able to identify which user actually initiated or handled the live interaction and automatically assign the contact accordingly.
This would significantly improve:
* ownership tracking
* follow-up accountability
* notifications
* reporting accuracy
* automation logic
* conversation continuity
For teams using shared inboxes, Ring All, Slack lead distribution, or collaborative sales workflows, this would be an extremely valuable built-in feature.
Thank you!!!

We have inbound calls coming from one number into our system. It would be great if the "lead" auto-assigned to the user that answers the phone through lead connector.

If you use "ring all," the contact will be auto-assigned to the user who picked up

I spent hours on zoom with the team only to be told to put it on the board. How was this not the first thing created!?

No way it cannot be done! SHOCKED!

Agree. Also I think if we get calls to the system. It should assign the contact to the person who answered the call.

Yes, this is great for a sales team with a pool of buyers ... for the sales people it's kind of a "pond" and they can go fishing for new opportunities. (We use this in real estate.)

bro, I had the same requirement and for now I solved it using the selection by dialing numbers as options to the lead, that is, select 1 for x, select 2 for y
