There's currently no way to update, re-assign, mark complete or delete tasks using workflows. Can we get this soon so we can help a client automate their tasks?

Yes please! Currently the tasks view gets really messy. We'd like workflows to automatically delete completed tasks after a while. Also automatically marking a task as complete via a workflow if a certain condition has been met makes a lot of sense.
Task Notifications:
Please fix the notifications for tasks or let us define what get's displayed. Right now, based on the app notification, a user just knows that a task has been assigned to him, but not WHAT they should do. Same goes for when a task is due. We have to create a internal notification for this task, instead of the task itself reminding the user.
Also it's not possible to add 2 or 3 notifications to a task (3 days before, 1 day before) in the "My Profile > Notifications" settings.

Also one important "why" - Assign task to opportunity owner if assignee is empty.
We have a lot of problems, when agent added new task and forget assign it to his/herself, later he/she can't see this task in tasks list.

I agree with the other comments. Tasks being completed should trigger an automation.
