Paypal and Stripe - Failed/Cancelled Subscription Payments trigger

We are loving high level but we NEED a trigger when payments for subscription or products fails or when subscriptions are cancelled. There is no way of updating an opportunity or a contact based on this.

Almost 400 votes and this is still not a trigger. I set up the if/and but it still doesn't give me peace of mind that they are set up correctly or will work with so many conditions on it. Would be more effective for everyone if there was just a "payment failure" trigger and a "payment successful" trigger instead of having to do lengthy workflows especially in the SaaS level.

Though it can be completed using the payment trigger and an if else filter, it would be much easier, especially for new users to have a payment failed trigger which is obviously a very important thing to know about subscriptions. Please re-consider adding this trigger.
Also, to create the automations for more than one subscription (I have over 10) it requires many automations.
Having a new trigger for subscription and ability to pick a specific subscription then the status would dramatically SIMPLIFY the process.

As correctly mentioned by Lavinia Meek this can be achieved using the "Payment" and 'Subscription" triggers with the If/Else condition. Add the trigger and then in the If/Else add the "Payment status" or "Subscription Status" in the conditions. Is there any other requirement here that we are missing?

How would that work in a global/admin setting where every offer may require a different sequence of things to be done?
Wouldn’t doing it in a workflow be the simplest and easiest to customize on a per failed payment / subscription status basis?
Unless you mean a global status to be notified when a payment fails or subscription is cancelled.
For sure that should be a global setting.

There is a possibility to set up an If/Else action in workflows to add if a subscription is ACTIVE/FAILED/OVERDUE/CANCELLED/ etc, to send them notifications.....if that helps, I can show you how. Drop me an email on lavinia.meek@gmail.com

Customers need to be able to manage their subscription from the client portal!!!! This seems like a basic feature for memberships. It would be great to have a trigger to be able to customize things but this should just be an automatic thing. A customer should be able to log in to their client portal, update their payment, upgrade their subscription, or cancel. If they cancel it should automatically revoke access to anything associated with that offer. This is a BIG downfall of GHL vs other course platforms.
