This is related to the "Allow re-entry" feature in workflows. Other CRMs with automations have this, but GHL does not for some reason, even though GHL's workflows are so much better than everything else out there.
We need a setting that allows us to set a maximum number of times a workflow can run in a given period of time, for each specific contact, as well as entirely.
Examples:
Workflow can run an unlimited # of times per contact per day.
Workflow can only run 1 time per contact per 1 day. (daily)
Workflow can only run 1 time per contact per 7 days. (weekly)
Workflow can only run 1 time per contact ever. (current "allow re-entry" turned off)
Workflow can only run 100 times ever for all contacts (pauses after running 100 times, requires you to turn it back on).
Having the option to do "workflow can only run X number of times per X days" and "per contact" or "for all contacts" would be very helpful in building protections around certain workflows as well as... (and this is helpful for GHL)... limit the number of system resources being used on certain workflows that don't need to run often, and may be running more often than needed.
