Custom Objects in Workflows
We do not have custom objects if we need to add them as trigger or an action in the workflow list, kindly add them to triggers as well as actions so we can create automations and actions based on the custom objects in CRM

It would be great if it were possible to create an association between a contact record and a pre-existing record in a custom object in a workflow.
Use case - car sales - cars for sale are held as records in a custom object, potential client phones up, voice AI agent creates contact record for caller, including a unique ID for interested car, so want to be able to create this association in the workflow triggered after the call.

In today’s landscape, platform intelligence and flexibility are key differentiators. Modern solutions are increasingly defined by their ability to enable smart, data-driven functionality through automation and AI.
Go High Level already delivers strong core capabilities, particularly in automation and customer engagement. However, to fully support intelligent workflows and evolving business needs, there is an opportunity to further enhance how data is structured, accessed, and utilised across the platform.
The introduction of Custom Objects is a significant step forward. It allows users to model data in a way that better reflects real-world business processes, extending the platform beyond standard CRM limitations. However, to meet current expectations and unlock its full potential, Custom Object data needs to be more deeply integrated into the platform’s core systems.
Specifically, Custom Objects should be fully usable across:
- Workflows (as triggers, conditions, and actions)
- Reporting and analytics (including custom dashboards)
- Segmentation and filtering
- AI-driven automation and decision-making
- Cross-object relationships and referencing
Expanding support in these areas would transform Custom Objects from a data storage feature into a true operational backbone for the platform.
By enabling Custom Objects to act as first-class entities throughout the system, Go High Level can significantly increase its flexibility, support more complex use cases, and better position itself as a scalable solution for advanced businesses. This would empower users to build more intelligent automations, gain deeper insights, and reduce reliance on external tools or workarounds.
Ultimately, investing in deeper Custom Object integration is not just a feature enhancement—it is a strategic opportunity to unlock the platform’s next level of capability and deliver greater value to users building sophisticated, data-driven operations.

We also need this for the API please. API isn't able to write to CHECKBOX fields on Objects for example.

We need to be able to do the same thing we can do with Opportunities and Contacts in these workflows.
My use case today:
- A custom object field updates
- Set this as the trigger (ISSUE: only some field types are supported - Date Fields NOT supported)
- Action: Send Internal Notification (ISSUE: doesn't exist in Object Workflows as an action step)
WORKAROUND: Add to Workflow
Add to a regular workflow (ISSUE: Can't pull in the object custom field details)
AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I want to use objects so badly for our clients, but this is a skateboard with 3 wheels!

Been Almost 2 years since this last feature was first requested, I don't even know whether GHL is actually working on this feature anymore

When can we get nice things? Custom objects are functionally useless without the ability to automate.

I'm seeing mixed information - the help subdomain show this as active - custom objects can be added to snippets and workflows - but it does not actually work?? Any update / details would be appreciated
