Add Task Completed Trigger Filter by Name

For automations it would be great if you can choose "Task Completed" as a trigger but be able to add a filter to filter by Task Name. This would allow users to filter by a certain task that gets completed and can begin a specific workflow based on that task.

This is exactly the enhancement needed to make the Task Completed trigger truly powerful!
Right now, the trigger fires on every task completion, and with no way to filter by task title/name (e.g., "contains" keyword) or access merge fields like {{task.title}} in If/Else branches, it's hard to build targeted automations without unwanted triggers or complex workarounds.
Adding a "Task Title contains" or "Task Title equals" filter directly on the trigger (similar to how other triggers handle conditions) would allow us to:
- Move opportunities to the next stage only when a specific task like "Demo Completed" or "Proposal Sent" is marked done.
- Send customized notifications or internal alerts based on the exact task (e.g., "Onboarding Checklist Complete" → trigger client welcome sequence).
- Create reliable, multi-step pipelines driven by standardized task titles without relying on Zapier or manual checks.
Many of us standardize task titles for consistency, so this filter would unlock a ton of automation potential. Upvoted—hope this gets prioritized soon! 🚀

Conditional Triggers on Task

This MVP development is not useful at all https://ideas.gohighlevel.com/automations/p/workflows-task-completed-trigger
I'm creating a new thread because my original comment was never responded to. See Below:
Am I missing something in the application of this Task Trigger development because I see I can trigger when a "USER" completes a task but I don't see any option to filter based on the specific task.
I should be able to trigger based on categorized task and I should also be able to send a notification back to the task assignor.
At this rate I don't understand how this completed development brings value since I can't add actions based on task trigger conditions. Am I wrong or missing something?

Yes Task Name contains should be a basic standard filter they add to the trigger capability

Would love this to be implemented in the back end. Would really be helpful for efficient workflows. THANK YOU

I agree with this. I was discussing this with ghl support and they have the option to only filter for user or a contact custom field. I provided them a use case scenario and a sample of another CRM that has this feature and they told me to input the feedback here. The tigger should alllow for the following to occur.
- Trigger is: Task Complete
- Condition or filter: Task is titled: [name of task]
- Action: Update Opportunity pipeline stage or whatever action is needed.
Or the functionalitiy can be
- Trigger: Task updated
- Condition or filter: Task is titled: and Task status is changed to "Complete"
- Action: Action: Update Opportunity pipeline stage or whatever action is needed.

Agreed. Currently don't use tasks because of this limitation.
