Hello. I am a Cyber Security student currently in networking and I want to suggest this to help the automation builders. I use the automation section to help Instagram account with thousands of followers comb through there dms
Please add the functionality to create color boxes to separate and easily identify automation tiles.
Below is a link to an image from cisco.com I use the Cisco Packet Tracer in school and it has the functionality to create colored boxes to help separate the devices loaded on on the board.
THIS would be huge. The Automation board is just plain white and can make editing automations hard. If we could place semi transparent colored boxes or any shape behind the automation tile you create a easier way for us to track our huge automation
I cant tell you how many times Ive edited the wrong thing and got to far before noticing and Im sure I'm not the only one
This would be a tool to up our game and I have more ideas if your interested to hear about them

This would be even better if we could add a video explainer to the workflows - even better still if an AI could write up what the workflow was doing and add the notes its self!

Workflows needs a place for us to add Instructions/Use Case Direction/Update Notes so that team members know what the workflow is for, what the use case is, and what updates have been made and WHY. I know you can see changes but the WHY is missing. We've run into this with making workflows for clients who then change them because they don't understand the logic or their teams don't.

It would be very user friendly and tremendously helpful to have the ability to add a note to workflows and trigger so we can self document what our workflows and triggers do. We may forget what a particular workflow or trigger does. We can open the workflow or trigger, review the note, which could be a high level summary or reminder or whatever - describing the workflow or trigger. Zapier provides something similar to this for their zaps.

Just one question here, why are we not using the comment option. As correctly highlighted by Ben we have this functionality for Actions & Triggers and Notes for workflows are under review.

Prasoon Dadhich I had a problem with it last time I even tried it but, too many clicks. Additionally HubSpot also has a description of the workflow that can be seen from the workflows homepage. Quicker understanding of what it does without opening it

Prasoon Dadhich, the suggestion chosen as the master refers to notes on action steps and triggers to explain the use.
However, the merged in suggestions include the idea of an overview or general description of what the workflow is supposed to accomplish.
For example:
