Add ability to append phone numbers as additional phone numbers through workflows

Sometimes a contact continues using the same email but gets a different phone number or fills out a form with an alternate phone number. I would like to be able to find an existing contact by their email but then if the phone number is new (or additional), I'd like to append it as an additional phone number rather than overwriting. I know there are custom fields but there are advantages to adding as an additional phone number.

This would also be great for email addresses. If we find a contact by phone number it would be great for the workflow action to be able to add an email address as an additional email.
