I'm creating a site for a customer that works on sales of redeemable vouchers (pleasure flights).

I've customised the new receipt e-mails to act like an order confirmation as the receipt number makes a nice, friendly looking order number. The problem is, you can't search for an order by receipt number, so if someone rings up and says I want to claim this voucher - here's the booking reference, without asking them the name of the person that bought it for them, I can't find the order.

I planned to create opportunities in a pipeline to help track which orders had been fulfilled, but it's a real pain without having access to the order ID or receipt number in the automations.
