Apply new workflow steps to contacts already enrolled in the workflow

Currently, when you add or change a new step to an existing workflow, the change only applies to new contacts entering the workflow after the update. Contacts already inside the workflow continue following the original path and are not affected by the new step.
IMO This creates a major limitation. For example, if I realize I need to add a tag or an action at a specific point in a workflow, but I already have dozens of contacts inside that workflow, there is no way to apply that new step to those existing contacts without removing them all and re-enrolling them from scratch.
Feature Request:
When adding a new step to an existing workflow, give the user the option to choose:
✅ Apply to new contacts only — default behavior, no change
✅ Apply to existing contacts already at or past that step — retroactively apply the new step to contacts currently enrolled
This would save a huge amount of time and prevent errors, especially for time-sensitive workflows where removing and re-enrolling contacts is risky or impractical.

Hey Isabella,
I can help improve workflow management by allowing newly added steps to be applied to contacts already enrolled, without forcing users to remove and re-enroll them. This would make workflow updates safer, faster, and much more practical for active campaigns and time-sensitive automations.
Apply steps to new contacts only
Support retroactive actions for existing contacts
Target contacts at or past a step
Preserve existing workflow progress
Prevent duplicate or missed actions
