Allow users to change a credit card on a subscription

Currently, if you have a subscription set up with a credit card for a client and that client needs to either temporarily or permanently change it to a different card, there is no way to just update the card connected to the subscription. we have to completely cancel the subscription and create a new one.
It would be great if the card connected to the subscription was tied the cards the contact has on file on their contact record and we could just switch between them as needed.

If the share payment update link doesn't allow the customer to update the card associated with a subscription then you deinfitely have an upvote from me.

Matt Ingebrigtsen This is not the case - the client portal enables customers to update their billing information and their credit card details.

Charles Higgins Thanks Charles but i'm not talking about the client portal. just talking about subscriptions in the Payments section.

Matt Ingebrigtsen in your feature request you stated the need for a client to be able to update their payment method. That's why I mentioned the Client Portal.
It seems you may have missworded your request. Are you wanting the Account Admin/User to be able to change the payment per subscription or the client?

Charles Higgins I see the confusion. I guess i was just referring to a subscription you have set up for a contact in the system.
Also, the payment update link does NOT update that subscription card. that is part of the problem that this feature request is trying to solve.
We have a subscription set up with card "A" and the customer needed to change the card on file to card "B". he sent us the new card and we changed it on the contact record but the subscription didn't update. so we used the payment update link from the subscription page to change the card, but the card showing on the subscription is still card "A" even though it has changed everywhere else to card "B". I contacted support and they confirmed that the card used when creating a subscription in "Payments" cannot be changed once the Subscription is created. You have to cancel the subscription and create a new subscription with card "B".
