In the website and funnel builder, you can insert an image and then adjust the pixel height and width, but this is not possible for video, which means no control over how big the video shows up on the page in relation to other elements.

Yeah what happened, why is the video element so janky now? I fee like it didn't used to be like this and used to display much larger

Thumbnails from a vertical video look squeezed as well 😟

Until this gets added by GHL dev team, people can use the "Embed Code" option in the video element and generate the embed code through ChatGPT using the following prompt:
"Please write an embed code for this video:
It should have this thumbnail:
The dimensions of the videos should be in 1:1 ratio."
You should of course upload the video and the thumbnail into the media library of GHL and then use their links in the prompt above.
Idea given by Mathew Koenig in a comment here.

YES, this is so frustrating that in 2025 in a video dominate environment that our websites/funnels look like crap. this really needs urgent attention. We cannot compete with even WIX on this level -- extremely embarrassing.

Would love to have a way to change ones ability to add videos to your landing page which doesn't require it to be in 16:9 format.
Often client testimonials are shot in 9:16 format, and right now we can't add them to our websites, since the format isn't supported
