Ability to create sub-tasks for each stage in the pipeline.
For example, a check box approach to the things I need to accomplish in the "Qualifying" stage for each opportunity.
Stage = Qualifying
  1. Verify Income
  2. eMail Welcome template (automate when checked)
  3. Verify State of Residence
  4. Request Net worth report or credit report (auto send eMail requesting such)
  5. Credit Report received
  6. Etc
(This is done extremely well in the "Membrain CRM" platform, btw)
But it would require the ability to look at each opportunity and where it is in the pipeline stages, rather than viewing the pipeline and seeing 'all' opportunities in the stages. Not sure I am communicating that right, lol
