Opportunity Custom Fields are lost when moving opportunity to another pipeline using automation

Opportunity Custom Fields are lost (values are empty) when the opportunity is moved to a different pipeline using the workflow action 'Create Or Update Opportunity'.
in addition, as a workaround, copying the values from the opportunity itself is not allowed for fields of type dropdown or number.

This is now possible
We just released a bunch of actions on opportunities. Check out the changelog here : https://ideas.gohighlevel.com/changelog/opportunity-workflow-actions
Thanks a lot for all the feedback!!

Not sure if this relates, but I’d love to have the ability to move an opportunity from one pipeline to another without creating a duplicate, while keeping the same Opportunity ID and all the existing values intact, including custom fields. This would be super helpful for a setter-closer model, and having two separate pipelines would work best for that setup.
This is would also be very valuable for procurement or post sale processes.

Yes they are, because it's creating a brand new opportunity - not moving the existing.

Allow opportunities to switch pipelines without clearing all the data from custom values

Hi
Right now when you updated a new opportunity in a different pipeline all the information is deleted and create it a new opportunity.
So we should have a workflow action called, switch pipeline that can easily change an opportunity from one pipeline to another one or something similar that don't delete everything that already that opportunity has in it.
Because right now it's not working and if someone fulfill a form or survey anything and them the opportunity is updated it's not working.
Thanks

I agree, there should be a MOVE function. Call it MOVE to Pipeline or something like that.
