For contacts that have multiple opportunities, we need to be able to leave notes specifically for each opportunity rather than it being saved under the main contact notes section. It gets too messy when leaving notes for specific jobs related to the same contact.

Pallavi Kothari That's a very good idea. I would like to add something to improve the opportunity function. You could color the individual opportunities, optionally, to create order in the pipeline stage.

This is a crucial feature to have and has been incorporated into every other CRM I have ever used. As it is now, when you have several opportunities (even won/closed/lost ones) assigned to the same contact, the notes section in each opportunity shows all the notes that were ever recorded in every opportunity which makes it a complete nightmare to find the notes that are actually relevant to a specific opportunity.

You can add a Custom Field of Multi-Line Text Box and move it to the top of the Opportunity card? And call it "Notes". I agree it should be built-in but the workaround is simple

Austin Hall Good idea as a temporary fix but then you have one text box that is filled with multiple notes all in the same field and without any date/time tagging as well as showing who made the notes.

Pallavi Kothari If opportunity cards have their own notes, if an opportunity is deleted by a user. Will the notes from the opportunity transfer to the contact card? We would want the ability to keep those notes or delete them. Maybe an option once you click delete opportunity if notes are inside of the opp to move to contact?

Jay Martin Good point. That could be solved by creating a link/association to the contact so that the notes are stored there in perpetuity even if an opportunity is deleted.

If a opportunity has followers then the note could be for a follower specifically, would be good to have followers of an opportunity be listed on the notes as well. As tying a note from opp to contact may not be who or what the note is for. Also since redoing conversations screen anyways can we please stop with so many drawers and slide outs.
Lets get notes, activity, email, tasks, sms all in ONE LARGE display panel at the center of the screen or that takes up the entire right hand side then just give us the ability to filter by task, sms, email, note, etc at the top.

i actually like that they sync. seems like more data would be siloed if the change is made.. there should be an option to sync app notes and contact notes or have the ability to have separate notes for opps and contacts like you want

THIS MUST BE FIXED!!! I can't think of a single instance where tracking notes on the person is more important than the notes for the opportunity. How can this not be a higher priority in a sales and marketing CRM tool?
