Persistent, annoying captcha in the v2 funnel costing marketers money

Nora Michalski
The v2 funnel captcha appears not only for "suspicious" behavior (whatever even that means, define it pls) but on any real innocent interaction, often needing to solve 3 different captchas with 4-5 different rounds (new images with the object appearing over and over and over), and this functionality literally costs money for people with sales funnels. Even I get annoyed with so much additional hassle, let alone a person who doesn't even know me or trusts me much. They are just abandoning the purchase flow. I need a way to disable the captcha behavior, or at lest MAKE SURE IT ONLY APPEARS FOR ACTUAL SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR, NOT FOR REAL, INNOCENT PURCHASES.

Adding to this — same issue on my checkout funnel. hCaptcha alone was consuming between 8 and 33 seconds of CPU time on my checkout page, with 3 separate instances loading on one page load. Stripe already handles fraud risk here, so on a checkout page (not a lead form) this is pure friction costing real sales. Any update on a fix, or a way to disable/lighten it per-page?
