It would be great to be able to add standard fields as well - company registration number, VAT/Tax number. These are important details to capture when working B2B, particularly if you have customers in different countries.

Please add this ASAP!! I created a new form with 'Collect Payment' module, which in my opinion should work like the order form. But it does NOT register the orders the same way... 
1) you cannot use Order triggers (must find a work around trigger) and 2) you have to add many little workflows to attribute the $$ amounts to contacts and affiliates.... This works until there is a glitch and this little workaround breaks. 
If you just make your Order forms adjustable this would all be solved!!

Holy...... can't believe this isn't an option. So basic but so important... really a deal-breaker.. might have to find a better option than GHL.
