Exclude Tags

In the email campaigns there is not a way to set tags to exclude from the campaign. Sometimes there are tags we want to send an email to but not if they have specific tags

GHL has some great complex features but many basic features are missing. This is also a good example. It has been posted in mid 2024 and no one cared to implement eventhough it is a basic feature available across all email marketing platforms.
Missing these basic features make it hard to convince clients to switch to GHL from their current provider.

This is essential and should be a huge priority.

When can we expect this to be available on GHL? I want to reiterate what both Leona and Jason have said, in that excluding tags/lists/segments is an absolute necessity for sending targeting email campaigns and is a feature of every other platform I've used. Screenshot provided of what it looks like on Klaviyo, which I use for another business - you'll notice the "Don't Send To" field where multiple lists/segments can be selected. Once again as Leona mentioned, this isn't new tech.

Tristan Månsson-Perrone I totally agree with you! It's such a basic feature that is very much needed.

Smart Lists: not being able to EXCLUDE contacts, merge & dedupe

There is no way you can EXCLUDE contacts by tags, or any other selector, or as individuals from within a smart list, without deleting them entirely from the CRM. Every CRM I've worked with, even 10+ years ago, allows you to create entire lists that you exclude or by clicking on individuals (eg people who've already registered for an event, or already in the provess of buying and you don't want them to get a promo). I spent an hour with someone at GHL and no answer. It's set up for inclusion, but not for EXCLUSION. Also once you have your smart list, or several, you can't merge several, dedupe and exclude. Again this is so basic and the tech has been avsilable for over 15 years, I'm stumped.

Can use the if/when step to exclude tags?
