Feature Request: Allow Automations to Send Customized Documents & Contracts
Currently, when I create a customized proposal, estimate, invoice, or contract for a specific client, I can manually adjust pricing, scope of work, and service details before sending it.
The issue is that once the client approves or signs the document, the automation system only allows me to send the original template version—not the customized version that was actually created for that customer.
For service-based businesses, every job is different. We often customize:
* Pricing
* Scope of work
* Service descriptions
* Special terms
* Project-specific details
The Documents & Contracts feature already allows customization, but the automation workflows do not recognize or send the customized document instance. Instead, they only reference the base template.
Requested Solution:
Add an automation action that allows users to send:
* The specific customized document associated with the contact
* The signed version of the document
* The approved estimate/proposal instance
* The customized invoice instance
Examples:
* When a proposal is accepted → automatically email the customized signed proposal.
* When a contract is signed → automatically send the signed contract PDF to the client.
* When an estimate is approved → automatically send the exact approved estimate, not the template.
* (THIS IS THE PROBLEM) When an invoice is created from a customized estimate → send that customized invoice automatically when the contract is designed. BUT doesnt send through a Automation or a set time to send this
This would be extremely valuable for service-based businesses such as pressure washing, painting, landscaping, roofing, HVAC, and construction companies where nearly every estimate is customized.
I believe many GoHighLevel users would benefit from this enhancement.
