We are builders and rely on GoHighLevel to store all project-critical files within each contact’s Documents section, including architects’ drawings, engineers’ drawings, signed contracts, and consultants’ reports.
As projects progress, the number of files per contact quickly grows into the dozens. Currently, all documents are displayed in a single, unstructured list, which makes it time-consuming and frustrating to locate specific files.
Allowing folders to be created within a contact’s Documents section would significantly improve usability and efficiency. For example, we could organise files into folders such as:
Architects’ drawings
Engineers’ drawings
Consultants’ reports
Signed agreements
This simple organisational feature would make GoHighLevel far more practical for project-based businesses like ours, where clear document structure is essential to day-to-day operations. It would save time, reduce errors, and improve the overall user experience for teams managing complex client files.

There should be the ability to separate contracts and documents for office use and also the ability to keep files of documents and/or contacts the are tied to a specific customer or client.

It's great that you can see Docs in the CRM view for a client, but it would be even better if we could create folders here too so that doc we send and receive can be organised.

Yes, you should be able to create folders in the documents and contracts section. Both in the live and the templates section.

Yes! This needs to happen. Unbelievable that Gohighlevel has basic things like this and searching for tags in pipelines unavailable
