It would be great if you revised the way you track changes to the contact / Opportunity records. Currently I have to click into each entry and then click some sort of carat to guess where my change is. Its extremely time consuming.
How about this, list ALL changes to a record in chronological order and without any extra clicks . Also listing the old value and the new value
For example, if I change the First Name, an entry would be something like
First Name: Sam -> Samuel
You could like all the changes for a particular transaction side by side
First Name: Sam -> Samuel
Last Name: Johnson -> Johnston
Then instead of list IDs which would have to be reverse engineered into values, list the value of what changed.
Do this for every single change on the record and it makes your audit log somewhat useful. Another idea - place the audit log in the Activity Pane, or another tab on the Contact form.
