I see that this is planned. I want to make sure it's clear what we are asking. Currently you can only use the basic {{contact.*}} fields, and there is no option to use custom fields in the contact group. Is this what we are planning to implement? The ability to use custom fields within the contact group?

100% agreed. RevEx Group - there are limited number of fields available. while the HighLevel Subaccount can hold MANY custom fields.
I have a doctors organization that right now we have to manually create certificates because the certificate builder cannot see custom fields at all. Only basic contact fields and "Custom Values" that are account wide.
For example:
Dr. Seuss
has completed
<<2>> hours of suicide prevention training
<<2>> hours of medical ethics
<<1>> hour of bioterrorism preparedness.

Shivani Gera any update to the timeline on this? we are considering an alternative to high level as the certificate feature does not work as marketed.

Kason Bryden it is in testing. Going live this week

Shivani Gera Excellent. we found a (clunky) workaround for this event but will definitely put it into practice next event.

This would be excellent, especially since one of my client's students often have different professional and student names (i.e. they sign-up and use one name in live classes, but want another name on their certificates.)

RevEx Group
Christy Allison: You can do this currently, we do have custom fields for First Name, Last Name, Full Name.
For Dates, you can use Custom field - Current Date. But we will come up with more

RevEx Group This is not what I mean. We need the ability to create a SEPARATE custom field for names and use that, WITHOUT changing the name of the contact. So basically, just custom fields we can create that we can use on Certificates.
Thank you!

RevEx Group for example, I am going to use certificates as "e-certificates" for folks to purchase house cleaning services and gift it to someone else
They're going to submit a form and be emailed a unique payment link with the amount they'd like to purchase... and that is the custom field I want to list on the certificate.
I hope that made sense... I realize it's a bit of a ramble
