Instead of having the blogs show up with a very plain and basic Image > Title > Content layout, it would be nice to be able to custom design a layout that blogs will use. This way, we can add other sections, forms, ads, promotions, etc.

SOLUTION - go to the edit blog theme - then in the centre click blog home and on the left change to blog post and add your universal header and footer - now it parses header and footer for you! its not intuitive so we all missed it - happy new year all!

Yes, the Post Template is very limited.
It does not even seem to have CSS as the last workaround (not preferred).
It needs to be more like the page builder, with all the elements for design.
The images look blury and streched.blurry stretched.

@tech, please figure this out ASAP. This has been an issue since 2022 and still nowhere to be resolved?? Because of this my blog looks absolutely different vs. the rest of the website and it looks very unprofessional.

OMG GHL why do the blogs look like they stepped out of 2004 still? I've built in every blog builder around for clients over the years and I can't believe that the worst one I've encountered is in your otherwise epic machine? Not having a header and not being able to control the template for the posts is aggressively horrific. Forcing all the tags to be visible, not being able to put in banners that show off products or funnels they would be interested in and keep them on the site... and not even being able to easily get them back to the blog back (the websites blog not the forced backed version with the articles just sitting there) is mindblowing. 18 months of complaints and no fix? Pleaseeeeeeeeee please please for the love of marketing-nerdery fix this asap 😭

Yeaaaaa, this is an absolute "duh" imho.... I just went to setup a blog for a client for the first time and I'm wildy shocked how janky this is... Why is there not a "a blog" global single post template you design and then bang all blog pages look nice AND HAVE A MENU HEADER lol. Like, what is this blank post page with no nav and stuff? I have to be missing something this is silly af...

Come on Sales & Marketing this has been "in progress" for 18 months. We still have no simple style sheet controls even. Imagine deciding that you want to change your default paragraph font size. You have to manually edit every single post.
What's happening?

Yes, these blog posts NEED to match the website layout especially a navigation menu so it is intuitive for the reader to know how to get back to the website. The UX on this design is not only beyond outdated it is horrible for the reader and for the owner of the website.
