Parent and sub-page level linking in website builder. SEO Must Have
planned
R
Robert Paugh
As a web developer I want to be able to build sub-pages/link paths on my website so that we can build proper sitemaps. For example, if we have a service page like site.com/service then we should be able to have pages under that like /service/web-design or even service/city-state, etc. It's pretty basic functionality and I don't know of a page builder or CMS that doesn't have it.

Im scared of how long this is actually going to take, because it's only in planned stage. Not in progress yet.

This also REQUIRES an update to the URL redirect ability to redirect multiple paths!

Are you kidding me? Ouch! This hurts a lot while I'm trying to migrate FROM GOOGLE SITES of all things to GHL.

I cannot migrate all of my websites in Webflow to HighLevel until we can create our own website pages under root/folders because we will lose all of our SEO rankings unless it matches our original URL structure exactly.
For example, my site has location pages for each of my services which rank high on Google. They look like this:
Currently there is no way to create a website page in HighLevel under the 1st folder (in my example, the location after "/car-detailing").
As soon as this is solved I'll be migrating all websites from Webflow to HighLevel

Matt Graves I have the same issue. What I am going to try is move all the pages on our site to match the flat structure of GHL's current capabilities and set up redirects from the old URL (domain/folder/subfolder/page) to the new URL and submit new sitemap to Google. Then in about a month, I will point DNS to the new site, where the page structure will match.
I could not find a lot of useful info about the impact of this kind of change to our website's structure, so I asked ChatGPT. It said that: By handling the migration with precision and monitoring closely afterward, you can minimize disruptions and retain most of your SEO equity despite the platform's flat URL structure.
I am hopeful that the benefits of cleaning up our site before the migration will come with benefits that will outweigh the costs of migrating...
